Meringue Frosting

  1. Separate egg whites from yolks. Make sure to do this in a separate bowl so you can be sure you don’t get any yolks mixed in.
  2. In a small saucepan add the sugar, cream of tartar and water. Bring to a boil and the set aside while you prep the egg whites
  3. Add egg whites to the mixer and start mixing. Add in your favorite extract and a pinch of salt
  4. Once a few peaks start to form slowly add the hot sugar and water mixture. Continue to mix until you get stiff peaks.
