Sometimes I ask myself “why don’t you just use a fork, Kimlai?” and then I remember that being able to use chopsticks is the only other cultural thing I can do since I can’t speak the language so technically, it makes me bilingual. Besides there’s just something so elegant about eating with two skinny sticks especially when they are blinged out with Hello Kitty designs.
