Food Forward Produce PitStop

June 26, 2019 by Kimlai Yingling

Food Forward Produce PitStop in Bell, CA is open for business. This 30,000 square-foot facility will be able to store massive amounts of food and cold produce in the new 6000 sq ft fridge enabling them to serve more people.

Across the street from Food Forward is a 1.5-acre urban farm called Grow Good. They not only grow fruits and veggies but they provide jobs and food to the 500 folks at the homeless shelter on the same street. The homeless shelter is run by the Salvation Army and is the largest shelter this side of the Mississippi. Came for a ribbon cutting – left with a ton of knowledge and an unforgettable experience.
