Jeremy Fall, restaurateur and owner of Nighthawk AM creates another dining concept called Easys on the 6th floor of the Beverly Center in Los Angeles. If you’ve been to Nighthawk Breakfast Bar you know that his creations push the boundaries of the norm making your tastebuds realize there’s just so much more out there. Easys takes diner food and elevates it to another level both visually and in flavor. From the mouthwatering Donut Crumb French toast, that melts in your mouth to the sweet & savory Pork Belly Benedict to the oh so health conscience Keto Meatballs to the masterfully curated and tasty cocktails like the Kimchi Bloody Mary. There’s diner food aka comfort food for every kind of eater and drinker.
This is the first for the J. Fall Group (setting up shop in a mall) and a first for the Beverly Center (having a full-fledged restaurant and bar inside their mall.) Easys has carved out a corner space creating a familiar cozy diner theme with a retro feel while managing to put a kibosh on any signs of a pretentious atmosphere. It’s both comfortable and nostalgic which is the perfect setting to chow down on delicious food. Each table is adorned with an old-school view master that allows you to take a peek at the menu items. The picture quality isn’t really good but then again it’s sole purpose is to take you back….way back to a simpler time. Which also makes you realize that we sure have come a long way with how we take pictures.
Because of Easys location, there are phenomenal views of the city and great natural lighting from the floor to ceiling windows. It’s also the perfect spot for people watching which quickly brings you back to the reality that you’re in a mall with escalators nearby going up and down. But you can easily ignore the outside ambiance if you sit at the bar or grab a booth facing the windows. Easys along with the Beverly Center is also very dog-friendly.
This place is the perfect GDO outing. Shopping, mani-pedis then comfort food and cocktails at Easys. Sounds like the perfect way to spend a day.
Easys Burger – I recommend ordering the burger medium rare and adding lettuce.
Donut Crumb French Toast – I recommend eating this the second it lands on your table.
It’s fluffy and melts in your mouth.
Pork Belly Benedict – This is a sweet-savory dish because of the honey, maple and bbq flavors.
I recommend adding the green sauce to cut through some of the sweetness. Follow it with a Kimch
bloody mary with basil. Sounds crazy but tastes like an Asian explosion of deliciousness in your mouth.
The lounge area. I predict there will be quite a few regulars here.
My foodie buddy – Tara Redfield aka The Food Pervert. We cute!
