Mi casa es su casa!
Del Frisco’s Grille in Pasadena is getting in on the action. General Manager Carrie Crawford knows how to throw a media “happy hour” party preview and for the first time ever Del Frisco’s Grille will open their doors for Happy Hour to the public for the rest of the year. Want to know what is so fabulous about happy hour? THE PRICES! THE FOOD! THE PEOPLE!
Executive Chef, Angel Flores has been with Del Frisco’s Grille for 3 years and has created a really delicious tasting menu. We tried everything but I do have some recommendations to get the happy hour started. Order the Wagyu Corndogs, they are little one-inch wagyu bites wrapped in cornmeal served with a duo of sauces. Then grab some truffle-deviled eggs. I always forget how good deviled eggs are and these ones were so creamy with just the right amount of herbs and truffle. Then order the spinach parmesan dip. It comes out at the just the right temperature marbled with Parmesan cheese. It comes with a side of chips but honestly it was so good on it’s own I just grabbed my fork and dug in. If you’re craving flatbread the roasted tomato was refreshing, light yet pretty filling. There are lots of other delicious items available like the flaky cheese steak egg rolls drizzled in sweet n sour chili sauce, pulled pork nachos topped with cilantro and a tangy French onion dip. Believe me there is something for everyone on this menu.
And what would happy hour be without drinks? They offer their signatures, The Grille margarita, Tennessee peach, Moscow mule. Wines and craft beers too. BUT their handcrafted cocktails could almost steal the show. My favorite was the VIP, Hawaiian gold pineapples that have been infused with Svedka Clementine vodka for two weeks. I would also recommend ending the night or starting the night, with an Adult Milkshake. This could actually be dessert. I didn’t expect to like this one so much but dang it was so good, so creamy, so deliciously alcoholic. The mix was Nocello Walnut liqueur, crème de cacao with a generous portion of Vanilla ice cream.
Tuesday, August 16th from 4-6:30pm is the big public roll out and they are ready to party. The DJ will kick things off and if folks are bringing down the house they might push happy hour till 7pm. Ha ha ha. Make sure to come hungry and definitely thirsty. Everything on the happy hour menu is only $6.00.
Happy Hour is available at the Pasadena and Irvine locations only.
