Everything You Want To Know About Pokè | Infographic

September 9, 2018 by Kimlai Yingling

By now many of you have more than likely tried pokè, looked at pokè or watched one of your friends eat pokè. But for those that haven’t, you may be asking, what is pokè, where did it come from and how do you even pronounce it? Let’s start with the later, it’s pronounced poh-kay not poh-kee. Chef Dakota Weiss, of Sweetfin Pokè in an article about Pokè for People Magazine summed it up nicely, “It’s the next generation of sushi, but easier to eat.”

When you step up to a pokè bar it’s pretty simple, you pick your fish, your rice, seasonings and veggies. Pokè bowls are tasty, fresh and very satisfying. Most importantly though before you head out for one of these bowls of goodness is to make sure you head to a place that has great pokè. To help you out here’s a link to Zagat’s Best Pokè Bowls in LA. And to make things even more simple I’m including a really cool infographic (scroll down) that explains everything you need to know about pokè. Happy Eating!
