The Green Dream | Recipe

December 29, 2019 by Kimlai Yingling

I’ve never been much of a juicer but after drinking veggie/fruit shakes consistently for what seemed like forever it was time to switch things up to stay on my “eat good/feel good” plan.

I started using a Wolf Blender and man, this baby is POWERFUL. It’s got a 2.2 HP motor which makes chopping, blending and pureeing a breeze. I especially am in love with the 64 oz shatterproof container. I can now make big batches of things instead of 3-4 small batches. Oh, and the emulsion cup on the top lid is a nice touch which will definitely come in handy for homemade vinaigrettes.

I saw the word “Juicer” on the Wolf box so I had to create something to juice. I recently tried a juice my friend gave me and have been wanting to recreate but didn’t have a juicer. My Wolf Gourmet pureed all the veggies quickly and consistently. It also turned ice into snow which will be amazing for my Vietnamese desserts.

I worked out a few different recipes for a green juice and finally ended with the Green Dream. Check out the recipe below and let me know what you think.

Instructions
  1. Add the water first and then the rest of the ingredients. Sometimes I like to add a little tang with a cup of pineapple. The more you play around with ingredient amounts you'll determine what flavors you like more of and can adjust the measurements.
  2. I'm using the Wolf Gourmet Blender and selected the "puree" feature. Different blenders have different programs/features. If you are unsure just use manual until you get the desired consistency.
  3. I don't mind pulp in my fruit shakes but when I'm juicing I have to remove the pulp and run everything through a strainer before I put in a glass jar to store in the fridge. I also have to drink the Green Dream super cold but I don't recommend storing the juice for more than 24 hours whether you are using a masticating or centrifugal juicer.
