Cucumber and Carrot Thai Salad

November 18, 2014 by Kimlai Yingling

I love spending time in the kitchen with my mom and her friends. It makes me feel connected with my Asian roots. My mom’s friend Sandy was showing me a Thai sauce she whipped up with freshly made pepper flakes and fish sauce. The sauce can be used for so many dishes. This “how to” video is with cucumbers and carrots. It’s fresh! It’s crisp! The flavors dance around your palate confusing the senses a bit with salty, sweet and spicy. It’s addicting! Depending on how much pepper flakes are added it can be super spicy or just mildly spicy.
