It’s beginning to taste a lot like Christmas and Astro Doughnuts is celebrating the holidays in a really big way. Astro is known for their tasty and creative flavored doughnuts and they’re also known for their crispy, not greasy, perfectly seasoned fried chicken. So if you’re looking for that perfect gift for the person who has everything, or the person (which would be everyone) that loves fried chicken and warm fluffy doughnuts, how about some good ole American comfort food all wrapped up in a cute holiday box?

The Christmas gift set includes 12 delectable mini doughnuts: 3 Gingerbread, 3 Christmas Cookie, 3 Eggnog and 3 Crème Brûlée. My favorite of this bunch is the gingerbread doughnut, which actually tastes like soft gingerbread cookies. YUMMY! Plus I love the little gingerbread man even though he’s sitting on top of the Christmas cookie.
The Hanukkah gift set features 12 festive minis too: 4 Sufganyot, 4 Hanukkah Cookies and 4 Crème Brûlée. My favorite of this bunch was the creme brulee. Creme Brulee is my favorite dessert so anything that closely resembles it already has a head start.

And don’t forget the fried chicken and the tater tots and the biscuits. OMG! All of it literally melts in your mouth. We tried the Fried Chicken Sandwich with sausage gravy and the Fried Chicken Honey, both with savory doughnut buns. Next time I’ll try the cheddar biscuit bun. I’m not a huge fan of my doughnut doing double duty as a bun.
