Stand Against Global Hunger with GLAD

October 16, 2015 by Kimlai Yingling

This October, Glad has launched a global online campaign in support of Free The Children – an international charity and education partner dedicated to promoting sustainable models in developing countries and raising hunger awareness – to take a stand against global hunger in honor of
World Food Day on October 16th.

World Food Day is not a day devoted to exploring a rainbow of culinary delicacies from around the globe, but rather a day to reflect on a serious issue: worldwide hunger. There is more than enough food in the world so that no one ever need go hungry; yet 1/3 of the food produced every year is lost or wasted.

Today, we ask that you help us protect people around the globe from hunger by joining the #GladtoShare campaign and posting a food picture in black & white to your Instagram account.

It’s World Food Day. Post a black and white food pic and tag #GladtoShare #WFD2015 @Gladproducts. Glad will donate $1 up to $25,000 to the Free The Children organization. No one should go hungry. The Glad Products Company is committed to raising awareness around the issue of food waste and has made its mission to protect food so it stays fresh, longer and provide ideas and inspiration to love food more and waste it less.
